Countertop preparation for concrete. I used 3/8 inch rebar on 10 inch centers with a 2.5 mil moisture barrier. Countertop will be 2 inches thick. I had to buy the Styrofoam forms for the edges. The concrete cured for several weeks. I sanded it for a couple or hour to eliminate any rough edges. Luckily, my buddy Mark worked the concrete over pretty good with a trough so it didn’t take too much sanding on top. The stain was applied and dried pretty quickly. The Epoxy primer went on after that with a sponge roller. It needed 10-14 hours to dry. The top coat sealer was Epoxy and went on last. I think I may apply a second coat of the sealer.
